Bishkek, Nov.13, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with Subregional Representative of the International Organization for Migration Serhan Aktoprak.
During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on topical issues in the field of migration.
Edil Baisalov, congratulating Serhan Aktoprak on the start of the mission, spoke about the current migration situation in Kyrgyzstan, about the measures taken by the Cabinet of Ministers to create favorable conditions for migrant workers, in particular, he noted that this year the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Legal Migration” was signed.
He emphasized the aspiration of the republic to create favorable conditions for labor migration of Kyrgyz citizens outside the state and to build a system of protection of their rights and interests abroad.
The activities of IOM on the implementation of projects and programs aimed at supporting the work of specialized agencies and bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of migration policy, security, training and technical assistance were noted.
In turn, Serhan Aktoprak expressed the readiness of the organization to continue to support the efforts of the Kyrgyz Republic in this area.
