Bishkek, Aug. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Iran has provided another humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Friday.
"In accordance with the tasks, set by Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jebekov and a results of the appeal of the Kyrgyz side, the Government of Iran sent on Aug. 14 the second batch of humanitarian aid to combat the COVID-19 epidemic in republic," the report says.
The second batch of the humanitarian assistance from the friendly country contains medical equipment (ventilators, thermometers and pulse oximeters), as well as COVID-19 detection tools (PCR tests and ELISA analysis), which will be used to combat the coronavirus epidemic in Kyrgyzstan.
The official ceremony of handing over the humanitarian cargo was attended by State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry Kalysbek Shadyhanov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran Avazbek Abdurazakov and Iranian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Saeed Kharrazi.
