Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov met today with Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Fang Liu within the framework of participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.
The Prime Minister spoke about the reforms carried out in all spheres by the government of the country, including the sphere of civil aviation.
"The ongoing reforms in civil aviation will give impetus to the development of the country's economy, business, tourism, logistics, including the transportation of passengers and transportation of goods. We are focused on reforms aimed at "opening our sky," a policy that will open the market for international airlines," Isakov said.
The Kyrgyz Prime Minister stressed that special emphasis will be on issues of flight safety, aviation security and the introduction of a coherent system for coordination of the aviation industry, improving the work of air operators and the legislative base in line with international standards in this field.
In turn, Fang Liu expressed readiness to implement joint projects to reform civil aviation.
"ICAO is ready to participate in the implementation of projects, starting from their preparation up to their implementation. In addition, we are ready to provide expert support, in particular, to send a regional delegation for detailed study and start working together to open your aviation market. We are also ready to work on improving the capacity of local staff," the Secretary General of ICAO said.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister assured that the government had taken a course on developing a systematic approach for effective implementation and maintenance of the safety oversight system and the creation of an effective civil aviation management system.
