Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2017 /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov today awarded Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University named after Boris Yeltsin the Dostuk Order. The award was handed over to Rector of the university Vladimir Nifadiev.

In the course of his congratulatory speech, the prime minister said that the award is given for special contribution to the socio-economic and spiritual potential of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

"I am very confident to say that Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University is the foundation of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Because after the collapse of the USSR, the question was how to preserve fraternal relations and especially relations with Russia, the timely establishment of this university served as a bridge of friendship between our states," he said and stressed that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia have reached a peak and will only grow in the future.

Isakov also called on the University to help in completing and implementing the "40 steps to a New Era" program. He also told the audience about the Taza Koom program.

He also added that the order should have been handed by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, but because of the upcoming trip to Russia, he could not do it.
