Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. Today Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov in the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos (Switzerland) met with the leadership of the International Telecommunications Company Veon, headed by Executive Director Jean-Yves Charlier.
During the meeting key issues of telecommunications development in Kyrgyzstan, opportunities for Veon's participation in the process of digital transformation in the country and prospects for joint implementation of the national project Taza Koom were discussed, the press service of the Government reported.
The Head of Government emphasized that at present Kyrgyzstan has created the most favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments, as the activity of investors allows creating additional jobs and stimulating the development of the country's economy.
The Prime Minister also stressed that with the participation of foreign investments, various national projects are being implemented in the country, including various reforms too.
At the same time, Isakov spoke about plans of the Kyrgyz Government to reform the state administration, develop the private sector and democratic development.
The Executive Director of Veon Jean-Yves Charlier expressed his readiness for active participation in the implementation of the digital economy of Kyrgyzstan, make contribution to the national project Taza Koom and assist in the expansion of the population's access to Internet communications. According to him, the company Veon is a reliable and long-term partner of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, during the meeting, the sides discussed the company's investment plans for near future, as well as its role in the digital transformation of Kyrgyzstan.
