Al Kuwait, Feb. 21, 2019. /Kabar/. The issue of opening the embassy of Kuwait in Kyrgyzstan remains open, Head of the Asia Department/Assistant Foreign Minister of Kuwait Ali Suliman Al-Saeed told journalists.
He said that this issue had already been discussed, but still remains open.
“We have an embassy in Kazakhstan, it is not so far from Kyrgyzstan. We are still working through it,” he said.
The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait stressed that there is an embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kuwait, with which close diplomatic relations are being built.
He also said that 25 years have passed since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait.
“Our cooperation began after Kyrgyzstan gained independence. Kyrgyzstan works closely with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. There are several projects in this direction for the construction of roads, hospitals, and the development of society. Our friends from Kyrgyzstan know of our charitable foundation. I am glad that many Kuwaiti citizens visit Kyrgyzstan both in terms of tourism and in terms of charity,” Ali Suliman Al-Saeed said.
