Issue of providing clean water to population in Kyrgyzstan will be resolved, Jeenbekov

Bishkek, Feb.6, 2020 /Kabar/. "In Kyrgyzstan, the issue of providing the population with clean water will be resolved," President Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed during the meeting with residents of Ysyk-Ata region of Chui Oblast.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted that in recent years, 107 villages of the country have been provided with clean water, his press service said on Thursday.

He added a list of 588 villages has been compiled for which sources of funding have been identified, including from international financial institutions.

"By 2024, it is necessary to complete the construction of drinking water supply systems and upgrade the existing infrastructure in 715 villages. I would like to emphasize that during this period the issue of providing the population with clean water will be resolved in all regions of the country," the President said.

As is known, the republican budget annually allocates funds for the implementation of projects to provide the population with clean water, and active work is being done to attract investment from international development partners.

Today, Feb. 6 President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held meeting with residents of Ysyk-Ata region of Chui Oblast.
