Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2020. /Kabar/. Chairman of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes (SSCEC, or Financial Police) of Kyrgyzstan Syimyk Zhapykeyev met with Business Ombudsman Robin Ord-Smith, the press service of the Financial Police said on Friday.
In his welcoming remarks Chairman Syimyk Zhapykeyev thanked representatives of the Business Ombudsman Institute for the visit, and noted the priority of the Financial Police is to directly protect the economic security of the state, protect bona fide entrepreneurs from unlawful interference and create the most favorable conditions for doing business and the flow of investments into the country.
"Conscientious businessmen are key allies of the Service for Combating Economic Crimes in matters of improper interference by government agencies with legitimate business activities. They act as informants pointing out unfair competition, persistent tax evaders, dishonest government officials, and, of course, major corruption schemes," said Zhapykeyev.
Business Ombudsman Robin Ord-Smith thanked the leadership of the SSCEC for the organization of the meeting, and noted the Financial Police should be a close partner of business entities, a protector from the arbitrariness of auditors.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the interests of business and entrepreneurs, and agreed to continue close cooperation in the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the subjects of entrepreneurship.
