Issyk-Kul, Tomsk Oblasts establish twin-city relations

Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2024. /Kabar/. A signing of a memorandum on establishing twinning relations between Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan and Tomsk Oblast of Russia was held Monday in the online format, the press service of the regional administration reported.

Governor of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast Ulanbek Daliev and Governor of Tomsk Oblast Vladimir Mazur confirmed the readiness of the regions to strengthen relations in various spheres, including economy, tourism, education and ecology.

The memorandum is aimed at developing mutually beneficial partnership, including exchange of experience in tourism, educational and cultural programs, as well as joint projects on environmental protection.

The signing of this agreement marks a new stage in interregional ties and strengthens long-term cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
