Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan strengthens mask regime

Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. At a meeting of the oblast operational headquarters, Governor of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast Balbak Tulobayev instructed to strengthen the mask regime in public transport and markets, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said Saturday.

"It is necessary to strengthen control over compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards. In public transport, passengers and drivers must observe mask regime. This also applies to markets,” noted the governor.

A total of 3,979 cases of novel coronavirus were registered in Issyk-Kul Oblast so far, including 3,685 recoveries.

The oblast’s death toll stands at 82.

Kyrgyzstan has reported 46,090 cases. Number of nationwide recoveries has reached 42,302.

As of Sept. 26, novel coronavirus claimed lives of 1,063 Kyrgyzstanis.
