It is planned to increase salaries of doctors by 40%, says Sadyr Zhaparov

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Next year, it is planned to increase salaries of doctors by 40%, Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov said on Thursday at his first press conference.

According to him, now there is a problem with lack of personnel in combating coronavirus infection.

"We have solved the problem with payment of funds to medical workers. Now there is a problem with the lack of personnel because many physicians left due to fear of the disease,” Zhaparov added.

The acting president added that in order to motivate the medics it is planned to raise their salaries by 40%.

"But this should be considered in next year budget. It would take about KGS 2.5 million of additional fund,” Sadyr Zhaparov added.

Acting President, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov conducted today his first press conference. 148 journalists from 86 republican and foreign mass media were accredited for the press conference.
