Bishkek, Mar.5, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Alisherov met with Gegham Vardanyan, Member of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies.
The meeting was also attended by Kyrgyz carriers.
According to Alisherov, there is no claims if the cargo is formed in Kazakhstan, and cargo, which was formed in Kyrgyzstan, encounters some obstacles.
"This is a kind of hidden war for the goods. We do not trust the statistics they represent. All of them are complied under pressure," the deputy minister said.
Eldar Alisherov noted this is already competition at the transport level. The competition for the goods is ongoing by using political levers.
According to the carriers, this situation has been going on for two years now.
One of the carriers said he has been transporting textiles produced in Kyrgyzstan for a long time.
"All documents are in order, all reports are available, but they are kept at the border. A deep search is beginning. The driver is given a paper, asked to read, but is not allowed to take a photo to send to his boss. They just try to find an excuse for what they can dig up. 99% of all these acts have been plucked from the air to prove themselves right," he says.
Note that an ambiguous situation has emerged on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.
During 2019, at the Eurasian site Kyrgyzstan repeatedly raised the issue on non-compliance with EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) law control and inspection measures by Kazakhstan, which are not stipulated in the 2014 EAEU Treaty.
