In this regard, a special cultural program is being prepared in Kyrgyzstan. It is planned to organize the ethno-festival "Universe of nomads". There will be a great opportunity to demonstrate our traditions, customs and crafts at the world level,” said Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the country Kairat Imanaliev, speaking about the agreements reached during the official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey.
He noted that during the official visit of the head of state, a number of agreements were signed aimed at strengthening Kyrgyz-Turkish cultural ties.
As part of the implementation of these agreements, it is planned to hold Days of Culture and Arts between the two countries in 2022.
There are also theater tours, cinema days, exhibitions of artisans and artists, training of cultural workers and exchange of experience.
In addition, the minister said that Kyrgyz-Turkish cultural centers will be opened.
“Cultural centers of great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov will be opened in Turkey, and the cultural centers of great poet of the Turkic world Yunus Emre will be opened in Kyrgyzstan. We have deep cultural ties with Turkey. We are united by the common heritage of the Turkic peoples and Turkic-speaking countries. Therefore, the purpose of opening cultural centers is to popularize the literature of the two peoples in order to stimulate enlightenment and spiritual nutrition of society,” said Kairat Imanaliev.
He noted that the signed agreements pay special attention to the exchange of experience in national sports.
“In Turkey, many people are interested in the national game of Kok-boru. The Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University has built a sports ground for Kok-Boru, where the games are held. These measures will contribute to the implementation of the agreement,” he said.
The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey also held negotiations on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of youth policy.
The minister added that on the basis of the Memorandum, forums will be held with the participation of educated and proactive youth of the two countries and measures are taken to improve cooperation between youth organizations.
During the official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey, the following agreements were signed aimed at expanding Kyrgyz-Turkish cultural cooperation:
- Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic on cooperation in the field of culture;
- Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic on the establishment and operation of cultural centers;
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of youth policy between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic;
- Protocol on the approval of the interdepartmental action plan for the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic dated April 9, 2018.
