In January 2021, Kyrgyzstan’s budget revenue was overfulfilled by 12.5%, Acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov said at a meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and the Rules of Procedure of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He noted all social obligations and salaries are fully financed.
"There are no debts on social issues or other areas in January. Moreover, we have a small reserve, going into February. There will be no problems with the implementation of social issues in February," he said.
In addition, Acting PM Novikov said about KGS 2 billion were collected from the customs duties despite the pandemic, border closures and restrictions on the movement of trucks, the volume of imports was about 60 thousand tons.
"In January, the tax administration completely fulfilled the plan with even some over-fulfillment. We have formed a reserve fund with the Ministry of Finance to channel excess revenues and over-fulfilled plan. And now there is already about KGS 400 million there," Novikov added.
