Bishkek, Mar. 11, 2019. /Kabar/. Japan allocated about $ 90 thousand to improve the sound and lighting equipment of Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall, the Japanese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
On March 7, a ceremony was held in Bishkek for signing a grant contract for the Project on Improvement of Sound and Light Systems of Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall as part of the Small-Scale Grant Assistance in the Field of Culture grant program of the Government of Japan. The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Yoshihiro Yamamura, Minister of Culture Azamat Jamankulov and Director of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall Kyrgyzbay Osmonov.
The grant contract was signed between Ambassador Yamamura and Director of the Philharmonic Hall Osmonov.
Within the framework of this project, sound and light equipment will be purchased for the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic of Bishkek for a total amount of $ 88 thousand 978.
The Japanese Ambassador expressed his hope that the equipment would be a real help to artists, cultural workers, technical engineers of the philharmonic society in preparing concerts and events meeting the requirements of the time, as well as further developing fruitful relations with the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall.
In his speech, the Minister of Culture expressed his gratitude to the government and personally to the Ambassador of Japan for their assistance in the framework of small-scale grant aid. The minister noted that the grant assistance provided in the future will help in holding various events of the Philharmonic Hall, including the holding of the SCO summit in June 2019.
In turn, the Director of the Philharmonic Hall also thanked the Ambassador and the Government of Japan for approving the project, and noted that thanks to the implementation of this project, the parties had built a “bridge of friendship” between Japan and the Kyrgyz Republic, and wished friendship and strength to the two countries.
The Small-Scale Grant Assistance in the Field of Culture grant program has been implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic since 2009. During this time, 7 projects have been implemented under this program in Kyrgyzstan.
