Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . A joint event entitled “JAPAN DAY” will take on Sept. 18 for the first time in two years.
It is organized by the Japanese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz-Japanese Center for Human Development (KRJC), Japon-Kyrgyz Birimdigi Public Fund and International Marathon Directorate NGO, the press service of the Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyzstan said.
The event is organized within the JAPAN TEST festival, which will be held in the Sports Palace on the eve of the Bishkek Half Marathon 2021.
The JAPAN FEST will feature booths of Japanese companies who sponsored the Bishkek Half Marathon, and JAPAN DAY will be dedicated to introducing the people of Kyrgyzstan to Japanese culture.
The first part will be a sporting event: a demonstration of Japanese martial arts, a presentation of host cities in Japan and a dialogue with athletes Nursultan Keneshbekov and Darya Maslova, who represented Kyrgyzstan at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The second part of the event will feature a concert program featuring traditional Japanese instruments, as well as Japanese and Kyrgyz music.
"We hope that this event will further deepen the friendship between Japan and Kyrgyzstan. We look forward to welcoming you to the Kojomkul Sports Palace on Sept. 18," the report said.
