Japan to provide grant to improve medical equipment in healthcare organizations in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2024. / Kabar/. The Social Policy Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh approved the bill "On ratification of the Exchange Notes between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Japan on the project "Improvement of medical equipment in tertiary healthcare organizations in Bishkek" and the Grant Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on the project "Improvement of medical equipment in tertiary healthcare organizations in Bishkek", signed on August 1, 2024 in Bishkek" in the first reading.

Deputy Minister of Health Kaarmanbek Baidavletov noted that the draft law is aimed at improving the quality of services in the field of healthcare, protecting and strengthening the health of the country's population, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

The Japanese side will provide a grant of up to 1.5 billion Japanese yen to improve medical equipment in tertiary healthcare organizations in Bishkek.
