Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2022 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov received on Wednesday Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan Shigeki Maeda on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation and interaction. In particular, the implementation of the One Village-One Product project in the regions of the republic, cooperation in the field of IT and mining were considered.
Shigeki Marta thanked the Kyrgyz side for the fruitful cooperation and expressed commitment to further support the republic in its development.
The ambassador noted that Kyrgyz honey exported to Japan has reached the leading position in terms of supply and its popularity is growing.
He also mentioned that in order to promote investment in the republic by Japanese IT companies and development of IT business between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) organizes seminars to be held from Oct. 25 to Nov. 3 this year in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya, Japan.
A series of meetings and workshops between experts of IT-industry in the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of IT-business in Japan in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya are planned.
The sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
