Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2024. / Kabar/. Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev met with President of MurooSystems Corporation Pan Zhongxin as part of a working visit to Japan.
The ministry said that during the meeting the sides discussed cooperation in the field of energy, the implementation of joint projects and the results of previous meetings and negotiations.
Following the bilateral meeting, an Investment Agreement was signed between the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and MurooSystems Corporation on the implementation of the project for the construction of two small hydro power plants on the Chon-Kemin River with a total capacity of 24-25 MW.
In addition, a Memorandum was signed on the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a photovoltaic solar power plant with a capacity of up to 100 MW in the Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of the Memorandum is the investor's intention to build a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of up to 100 MW using its own funds or by attracting credit financing.
The Japanese company promised to invest up to 100 million US dollars in small hydroelectric power plant and solar power plant construction projects.
These documents were signed by Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Ibraev and President of MurooSystems Corporation Pan Zhongxin.
In addition, Minister Taalaibek Ibraev, together with representatives of MurooSystems Corporation, visited a small hydroelectric power plant in Japan, where they got acquainted with the technology of building a concrete dam, the materials used and the construction methods. According to Japanese energy specialists, 60% of hydroelectric power plants in Japan are built using the concreting method.
