Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2023. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana.
The heads of foreign ministries discussed the Agenda of the upcoming 10th OTS Summit, and also reviewed and agreed on draft documents submitted for signing by the Council of Heads of State. The results of the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, as well as the priorities of the subsequent chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OTS, were considered.
The ministers also focused on key areas of sectoral cooperation within the Organization, including in the field of economics and transport. In this context, a joint action plan (road map) for the implementation of the OTS Transport Program for 2023-2027 was approved.
Jeenbek Kulubaev in his speech noted the need to intensify mutual trade, develop transport potential in the Organization’s member states, as well as further create favorable conditions for the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including within the framework of relevant Turkic organizations.
During the meeting, the main areas of interaction between Turkic countries in various fields and expansion of cooperation within the framework of Turkic cooperation organizations were also outlined, as well as the state and prospects of interaction between the OTS and other international and regional organizations.
Following the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the sides confirmed their readiness to continue efforts aimed at increasing the efficiency of interaction and deepening multilateral cooperation in priority areas within the framework of the OTS.
