Jeenbek Kulubaev takes part in meeting of the CSTO Council of FM

Bishkek, June 21, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Almatycity of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting participants discussed issues related to the state of the international and regional situation, as well as its impact on the security of the organization’s member states. The parties exchanged views on further steps to develop external relations of the CSTO.

The Council of Foreign Ministers adopted statements on efforts to stabilize the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, on current issues of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders, as well as on expanding cooperation in areas of international information security, which reflect the consolidated opinion of the parties on these issues.

The council also approved methodological recommendations for the development of draft international treaties concluded within the CSTO, for the preparation and conduct of exercises with peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member states allocated to the CSTO peacekeeping forces, as well as documents relating to the financial activities of the organization.

The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers will take place on the eve of the next session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in November this year in Kazakhstan.
