Bishkek, March 2, 2024. /Kabar/. On March 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in a panel discussion on the topic “Institutionalization in the Turkic world: the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the 21st century” at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event, dedicated to the issues of integration of Turkic-speaking states, was held for the first time at this diplomatic platform. The discussion was also attended by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Member of Parliament, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The moderator was the General Secretary of the OTS Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
Participants in the panel discussion exchanged views on strengthening the potential of OTS, strengthening integration processes and increasing cooperation between member states.
In his speech, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev shared his opinion on the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the OTS, outlined potential areas of interaction such as the economy, investment, development of transport arteries, investment in hydropower and green projects, as well as countering the negative consequences of climate change.
As a result of the discussion, the parties agreed on the need to continue integration processes against the backdrop of geopolitical instability in order to effectively counter emerging challenges and threats.
