Bishkek, March 25. 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov made an address to Kyrgyz citizens in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency in certain cities and regions of the country.
His press service said that President Jeenbekov said that today from March 25, the state of emergency comes into force in some cities and regions of the country.
Jeenbekov stressed that since the spread of coronavirus infection around the world, the situation in the country has been taken under control.
“This infection, like in other countries, entered our country in March,” he said adding that to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection, from March 22 an emergency situation was introduced throughout the country.
The president noted that cases of non-compliance with the rules and non-compliance with the requirements of the order a state of emergency necessitated the introduction of even more stringent measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and therefore a state of emergency was introduced in the cities of Jalal-Abad, Osh, Bishkek and Suzak, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions from March 25 to April 15.
He said that the emergency situation in the country and the state of emergency in these territories will create some inconvenience and a number of restrictions in daily life.
“All efforts of state bodies and local authorities are aimed at preventing the further spread of infection.
Our doctors, border guards and police work around the clock.
If these efforts are not supported by the public, by every citizen, it will not be possible to succeed.
Only by unity can we achieve positive results,” the head of state noted.
President Jeenbekov said that continuous research is underway around the world to find a vaccine.
“But at present, there is only one effective way to counteract coronavirus infection.
This is order, unity and strict observance of sanitary and hygienic requirements.
Respect for discipline is the civic duty of each of us in these difficult days. This is a responsibility not only for oneself, but also for the health, life and well-being of their children, compatriots and the whole society,” he said urging citizens to stay at home, strictly observe hygiene rules, stop meetings.
Jeenbekov also stressed the necessity to strictly observe the conditions of home quarantine.
“Whoever does not comply with these conditions harms not only himself, but also the whole people.
Such irresponsibility will be severely punished,” he said calling both old and young to unite in the fight against this disease.
“Every citizen can contribute to protecting the health of the nation by strictly observing the requirements of quarantine and medical regulations.
Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to employees of various fields and, first of all, to physicians who are in the workplace around the clock.
I am sure that we will get out of the current difficult situation by strengthening harmony in society, renewing the economy, deepening our human conscience and raising our national dignity,” the Kyrgyz President said in his address.
