Jeenbekov and Abylgaziev discuss social protection of elder people

Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met today with Prime Minister of the country Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.

The Prime Minister informed the President of the readiness for a planned increase in pensions from October 1, 2018.

Jeenbekov stressed the need for a high-quality implementation of social obligations of the state to citizens of the country.

"Care for veterans, pensioners is the most important social task of the state. We are obliged to make every effort to improve the quality of their life," the President said, adding that the older generation of Kyrgyzstanis should feel the care of the state every day.

They also discussed the measures taken by the government to provide social protection of elder people. In particular, the head of state was informed about the medical and social services for the elderly.

The Prime Minister also said that since October 1, 2018, the family doctors / general practitioners, family nurses and average medical staff of paramedic and midwifery posts also will receive the increased salary.
