Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Prime Minister of the country Sapar Isakov, the President's press service reported.
Jeenbekov was reported about the current situation at the Bishkek Thermal and Power Plant (TPP). Isakov spoke about the measures taken to restore the work of the the capital’s TPP.
At the meeting, Jeenbekov noted the correctness of the Prime Minister's decision to conduct a thorough investigation of the reasons for the heat supply failure to the residents of the capital.
The head of state gave a number of instructions on proper control over repair and restoration works at the city's TPP and the uninterrupted supply of electricity and heating to the population of the country.
The President stressed that the special attention should be paid to the uninterrupted heat supply of hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and other social facilities.
Jeenbekov thanked the townspeople for the patience shown during these cold weather, and the workers of the Bishkek TPP, who are are doing their best to restore the work of the thermal power plant.
On January 26, the equipment of one of the old boiler units temporarily went out of operation at the Bishkek TPP, which led to a heat cutoff in the capital city.
Earlier the Emergencies Ministry warned about abnormal cold in Kyrgyzstan on Jan 26-29.
