Bishkek, Sept. 02, 2018. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to take part in the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, which is to take place tomorrow, on September 3 in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata.
The Kazakh President also took part in the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games as an honorable guest today, on September 2.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov warmly welcomed Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Kyrgyz land.
“I would like to express deep appreciation for your arrival to the Third World Nomad Games," Jeenbekov said stressing that the Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations, based on the historical traditions and mutual respect, will further strengthen and develop for the benefit of the peoples of brotherly countries.
Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed out that the traditional Kyrgyz-Kazakh brotherly relations are developing in a positive direction. President of Kazakhstan also congratulated Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the people of Kyrgyzstan on the country’s Independence Day.
He highlighted that since Sooronbay Jeenbekov assumed office, bilateral issues have been consistently resolved, the roadmap on bilateral cooperation has been in effect.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the issues of transport link and customs regulation have been removed from the agenda and the two brotherly nations are interacting without obstacles.
The county leaders shared views on the bilateral cooperation, practical realization of previously reached agreements, as well as the matters that will be discussed tomorrow at the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States.
