Jeenbekov and Putin to open Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia

Bishkek, Jan.17, 2020. /Kabar/. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russia Vladimir Putin will open in Moscow the Cross Year between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov told reporters.

According to Minister Jamankulov, the cultural event will start at the Bolshoi Theatre in the second half of February. The gala concert will consist of two days.

On the first day, Presidents Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Vladimir Putin will attend the opening ceremony.

The next day, Kyrgyzstanis will be able to attend the performance for free.

The closing of the Cross Year is planned for September in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of prime ministers of the two countries.

The declaration of 2020 Cross Year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan became known during the state visit of Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan at the end of March of 2019.

About 100 political, economic, cultural and humanitarian events are planned within the framework of the Year.
