Jeenbekov congratulates diplomatic workers on their professional holiday

Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated the workers and veterans of the diplomatic service on their professional holiday.

The press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported that the congratulation of the President is as follows:

“Dear workers and veterans of the diplomatic service!

I congratulate you on your professional holiday - the Day of the Worker of the Diplomatic Service of the Kyrgyz Republic!

Over the past decades, traditions of protecting the national interests of the country and the Kyrgyz statehood in the international arena have been formed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and overseas agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic.

We carry out a pragmatic, multi-vector and consistent foreign policy focused on creating favorable external conditions and opportunities to achieve the strategic goals of the state’s development in the long term.

Diplomats have a special task. You need to be patriots of your homeland, be a model of decency and hard work, be fluent in several foreign languages, because you are the face of a state abroad.

Diplomats should have a diverse education, a broad political outlook, high culture and responsibility, be distinguished by a careful attitude to state interests and professional traditions. Recently it has become obvious that the prestige of the diplomatic service must be strengthened. It is important to create incentives for the consistent career and professional growth of employees, to train new generation of diplomats.

The current dynamics of the international situation and the emergence of new challenges and threats require you to quickly respond and make informed and responsible decisions.

Over the recent period, we have strengthened and deepened relations with allies and strategic partners, we are closely cooperating in the framework of global, regional organizations and integration associations. We are actively developing comprehensive mutually beneficial cooperation with the countries of the near and far abroad on the basis of mutual understanding and mutual respect of interests.

I am convinced that you will continue to make your contribution to the development of our state and achieve great success in foreign policy, as well as transfer your rich experience to young diplomats.
