Jeenbekov congratulates Tokayev on his birthday via phone

Bishkek, May 17, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, May 17 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held phone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

President Jeenbekov warmly congratulated Tokayev on his birthday and expressed best wishes, his press service reported.

The two presidents exchanged views on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Kazakh bilateral cooperation and discussed joint measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection.

The issue of joint actions to return the citizens of the two countries to their homeland was also raised.

Jeenbekov expressed gratitude for assistance in resolving the issue of Kyrgyz citizens' return through Kazakhstan.
