Bishkek, June 15, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov.

The press service of the Kyrgyz President reported that the current epidemiological situation in the country and measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection and its negative consequences were discussed.

Boronov noted that in recent days there has been a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection. The most severe epidemiological situation is observed in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Chui oblast.

This, according to him, is due to the resumption of economic activity in the country - today more than 90% of sectors of the economy have fully resumed their work. He also stressed that citizens not fully comply with sanitary standards and mask regimen.

Kubatbek Boronov said that in connection with an increase in the number of asymptomatic carriers of the virus, a new algorithm for their identification and treatment is being considered by the Republican Operational Headquarters.

The President noted that in recent days the pandemic has not declined, and in some regions of the country, on the contrary, it is gaining momentum.

“People get infected in bazaars, in public transport and other public places. We see that the city of Bishkek is gradually turning into a center of morbidity in the country,” the head of state noted and emphasized that with the lifting of the state of emergency control over compliance with sanitary standards has weakened.

“We see that there is an accumulation of people in public places, there are those who hold family events in restaurants with a large number of people. This is the most irresponsible attitude to the round-the-clock work of our doctors,” said Jeenbekov.

The President emphasized that in a pandemic, violators of established requirements and sanitary standards should be strictly prosecuted under the law, as the threat of the spread of the disease remains.

He added that in such a situation, the main responsibility lies with every citizen.

“A change in the further situation depends on the responsibility and civic consciousness of each compatriot. At the same time, I urge you to pay attention to the need to strengthen measures to disinfect crowded places and public transport,” he said.

The head of state also once again emphasized the need to ensure timely payment of wages and other appropriate allowances to doctors and employees of the internal affairs bodies involved in the fight against the disease.
