Jeenbekov expresses condolences on India’s train tragedy

Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over numerous human casualties caused by a train running over a crowd of people near the Indian city of Amritsar, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.

“It is with great sorrow that I learned the news of numerous human casualties and victims caused by a train running over a crowd of people near the Indian city of Amritsar.

On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and on my own behalf, I ask you to convey deep condolences and words of sympathy to the families and friends of those killed, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured”, the President’s letter of condolences read.

On October 19, a train drove into a crowd of people near the Indian city of Amritsar during the festival. Over 50 people were killed, 200 were injured.
