Jeenbekov familiarizes with process of justice bodies’ digitalization

Bishkek, Jan.28, 2020 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received on Tuesday Justice Minister of the country Marat Dzhamankulov.

Measures on implementation of the Decree on Declaring 2020 the Year of Regional Development, Digitalization of the Country and Support of Children were discussed, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said.

Marat Dzhamankulov said within the framework of the state policy on digitalization of the country, the Justice Ministry has carried out thorough work to improve the quality of public services, provided to the population associated with the introduction of digital technologies.

He emphasized the conversion of public services into electronic format is one of the priorities of the ministry.

The justice minister informed “Online registration of legal entities” information system has been developed and implemented in a pilot mode in all regions of the country, which allowed to automate the process of filing applications for registration of legal entities, to control and provide information about sent applications and legal entities online.

Dzhamankulov added since September 2019, as part of the judicial and legal reform, the Probation Department under the Justice Ministry has been fully functioning.

At the same time, he said that active work is underway to provide qualified legal assistance to the population.

In 2019, 14 thousand 441 persons received qualified legal assistance. Free legal assistance to the population is provided not only in criminal cases, but also in civil and administrative cases.

Also, Marat Dzhamankulov noted that in order to properly ensure the rule of law, the country is developing a draft programme on the development of the judiciary for 2020-2030.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed the need to continue work on conversion of public services to the population in electronic format, on the automation of regulatory processes and digitalization of justice bodies in 2020.

In addition, the President drew attention to the need to improve and raise the quality of the qualified legal aid provided and the quality of the expertise, provided by the Ministry of Justice.
