Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2020 /Kabar/. Within his working trip to Naryn Oblast, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov familiarized with the reconstruction of internal roads of Kochkor village of the same name region, his press service reported.
The president noted the importance of construction and reconstruction of internal roads necessary for regional development.

"The roads are the arteries for the country's economy, through which passengers and cargo are transported. Minimum road infrastructure is necessary for the development of region and implementation of social programs to ensure access to clean water, irrigation, repair of hospitals, schools and everything else. Any undertaking is impossible without roads," Jeenbekov said.
This year, 153 km on internal roads in 23 towns and 40 regions of the country are planned to be built and repaired.

Jeenekov was informed that 3 kilometers of streets in the region are being paved in order to restore order in the centre of Kochkor village.
The work worth KGS 12 million is being financed from the republican budget; construction of the road began in late July and will be completed in autumn.
President Sooronbay Jeenbekov also talked to local residents, who raised questions about housing and land problems.

The Kyrgyz leader emphasized that starting from 2021 within the Regional Development Concept, a program envisaging socio-economic and infrastructure development will be implemented in Kochkor as one of the 20 "growth points".
Jeenbekov highlighted that a number of projects, aimed at improving the living conditions of local residents will be implemented as part of this program.
