Jeenbekov had phone conversation with WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Muller

Bishkek, Apr. 1, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller had today a phone conversation.

Topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as joint measures to combat coronavirus infection, were discussed, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted the need to unite the efforts of the world community to prevent the further spread of the disease.

Cyril Muller emphasized that the World Bank, along with other international financial institutions, intends to make maximum efforts to overcome the consequences caused by coronavirus infection and continue to assist in maintaining financial stability, restoring growth and developing the economies of developing countries, including Kyrgyzstan.

The sides discussed the possibility of providing financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan for budget support in this situation.
