Bishkek, Mar.3, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Feb.3 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a narrow meeting of the Security Council on the country's economic security, his press service said on Tuesday.
Heads of several state bodies took part in the Security Council’s meeting.
The President stressed that the state power is obliged to strengthen the economic security of the country and ensure peaceful life of the citizens. The main requirement for the internal affairs bodies is first of all to ensure a peaceful life of citizens.
"Yesterday the police officers fully fulfilled their task. They protected the right of citizens to live peacefully and ensured order in the city. As the head of state, I repeat once again – social peace is above all. All issues will be solved in the legal field, the language of ultimatums will not be accepted. The law should be observed in the country," said Jeenbekov.
Further, the Kyrgyz leader emphasized the issues of ensuring economic security of the country against the background of the worldwide spread of coronavirus infection.
Heads of relevant state bodies presented information on the work being done to prevent negative consequences for the country's economy, spoke about anti-crisis measures taken in this direction.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov recommended the Government to consider not only risks and problems, but also opportunities, to promptly analyze the situation and help entrepreneurs if new niches are opened for sale of products.
It was also recommended to set up a republican operational headquarters to effectively coordinate the state bodies involved in order to minimize negative consequences, risks and threats to economic security.
