Bishkek, Apr. 9, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, the press service of the president reported.
The current epidemiological situation in the country and measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection were discussed at the meeting.
The head of state noted the special role of medical workers in this difficult period for the country. He once again thanked the doctors and all the people who are at the forefront in the fight against coronavirus infection for their patriotism and selfless work.
The president emphasized the need to fully ensure personal protective equipment for all physicians involved in identifying and combating coronavirus infection, adding that health officials will continue to be under special care of the state.
President Sooronbay Jeenbekov also drew attention to the strengthening of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures throughout the republic, especially in areas where infected people were identified.
The Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov briefed about measures taken to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in the country.
He talked about equipping medical facilities with necessary medications, personal protective equipment and mechanical ventilation devices.
