Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov spoke at the opening of the autumn meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which started today at Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.
Speaking from the rostrum in front of parliamentarians from more than 40 countries, the head of state warmly greeted the guests and said that it was a great honor for Kyrgyzstan to hold an event of such level.
“Holding the largest parliamentary forum in the world is an honorable mission for Kyrgyzstan as the country that has chosen the path of development of parliamentary democracy. A conference with the participation of parliamentarians from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe member countries is held here for the first time,” the president said.
He said that this will subsequently create prerequisites for strengthening parliamentarism in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the possibility of presenting the country's potential on the world stage.
Then the president told the participants about the ongoing reforms in Kyrgyzstan in the judicial, electoral and legal systems.
