Jeenbekov: ‘Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates cooperation with China’

Beijing, June 7, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates cooperation with China. This was stated by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Zheenbekov during a meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu.

Dialogue between Jeenbekov and Zhanshu was held this morning in Beijing in the building of the Chinese parliament as part of the first state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to China. The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and noted the great importance of this visit of the head of Kyrgyzstan to China.

President Jeenbekov, in turn, thanked for the warm words and wishes, and expressed his gratitude to personal acquaintance.

"On behalf of the delegation and on my own behalf, I express my gratitude for the warm welcome, traditional Chinese hospitality that we have felt since the first minutes of our stay in Chine," the President said.

Also at the beginning of his speech he congratulated the Chinese people on the successful holding of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress and stressed that the fateful decisions adopted at the session of the Chinese parliament will give a new impetus to the development of China.

"Innovative ideas, strategies and concepts that are put into practice by the Communist Party of China under the leadership of Xi Jinping will bring China to a new level of development," Jeenbekov said.

President Jeenbekov stressed that Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates China's achievements, which are spoken all over the world and indicated that it intends to further strengthen good-neighborly relations in the mainstream of strategic partnership.

Today Jeenbekov will meet with the Prime Minister of the Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang. Negotiations with the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping took place yesterday after the official ceremony of the official meeting of the two leaders.

The state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to China will be completed tomorrow, and then he will fly to Qingdao City for participation in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
