Jeenbekov lays flowers on Chyngyz Aitmatov’s grave at Ata-Beyit

Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the Ata-Beyit memorial complex on Wednesday and laid flowers on the grave of writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Pariament) Dastan Dzhumabekov, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, relatives of Chyngyz Aitmatov, his friends and admirers of his works came to honor the memory of the writer.

After the laying of flowers, a verse from the Quran was recited.

Then, Jeenbekov and persons accompanying him laid flowers at the monument to the victims of political repression of 1937-1938, the monument to the memory of those killed during the tragic events of 1916 and the memorial to those who died in the People's April Revolution of 2010, where memorial prayer was recited.
