Bishkek, June 6, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov flew to China for the first state visit at the invitation of the leader of the neighboring country.
The head of state will spend two days in Beijing, where a series of high-level talks will be held. As part of the state visit meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu are scheduled.
The sides plan to discuss the possibilities of expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as other international and regional issues of mutual interest.
As a result of discussions, about 10 new documents are expected to be signed. The main political document will be the Joint Declaration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Further, on June 9, the Kyrgyz President will fly to the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
Leaders of SCO member-states will discuss and adopt a number of decisions concerning the further development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, to approve documents in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of security and external contacts.
At the summit, the chairmanship in SCO will be moved to Kyrgyzstan from China.
On the sidelines of the summit The President of Kyrgyzstan will hold a series of bilateral meetings, including with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and President of Mongolia Haltmaagiyn Battulga.
Diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and China were established in 1992. The length of the state border between neighboring countries is 858 km. Bilateral cooperation is based on the extensive contractual and legal framework, which includes more than 200 interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.
