Jeenbekov leaves for Dushanbe

Bishkek, Feb, 1, 2018 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov left for Dushanbe for official visit. The head of state will visit Tajikistan at the invitation of President of the neighboring country Emomali Rahmon.

Within the framework of the visit Jeenbekov will hold bilateral meetings with his colleague, as well as the prime minister and speaker of the parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the upcoming meetings the sides will discuss topical and important issues on interstate cooperation and will sign a number of documents on its activation.

The main political document will be the signing of a joint statement by the presidents and agreements on the whole range of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation.

Among the documents planned for signing are the Program of Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Governments of the two countries, the Agreement on Cooperation between the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Agency for Combating Economic Crimes of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The sides intend to activate bilateral cooperation between the ministries of health and the ministries of culture by signing the prepared agreements, as well as to sign the Agreement on cooperation in the field of certification of scientific and pedagogical personnel of the highest qualification.

Besides, during the visit, the Intergovernmental document on the order of stay of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Tajikistan and citizens of Tajikistan on the territory of Kyrgyzstan will be signed, as well as the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two republics. In addition, negotiations will be held on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

The visit of the president to Dushanbe will be completed on Feb. 2.

The diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were established on January 14, 1993.
