Bishkek, Apr. 9, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov has left today for Ankara for official visit.
The head of state will spend two days in Turkey, where a number of high-level meetings are planned.
The Kyrgyz delegation included:
- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev;
- Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov;
- Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ibrahim Zhunusov;
- Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjar Mukanbetov;
- Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Almazbek Baatyrbekov;
- Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Akylbek Zhamangulov;
- Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov;
- Minister of Agriculture, Melioration and Food Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Murashev;
- Chairman of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic Tenizbek Abzhaparov;
- Director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanat Amankulov;
- Director of the Agency for Promotion and Protection of Investment of the Kyrgyz Republic Esenkul Momunkulov.
The main purpose of this visit is to establish a high-level political dialogue and exchange views on issues of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation.
Within the framework of the trip, President Jeenbekov will hold official meetings with his colleague Recep Tayyip Erdogan and also hold talks with Prime Minister of this country Binali Yildirim, Speaker of the Great National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman.
The main theme of the dialogues will be the expansion and deepening of trade and economic relations, giving impetus to the development of cooperation with Turkey within the framework of regional and international organizations such as OIC, CCTC, TURKSOY, TurkPA, as well as determining the dates for regular sessions of the High Council for Strategic Cooperation and the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade economic cooperation between the two countries.
On the results of the planned meetings, the following documents are prepared for signing:
- Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on cooperation in the field of technical regulation, standardization, conformity assessment, accreditation and metrology;
- Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on physical culture and sports;
- Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of agriculture;
- Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on mutual encouragement and protection of investments;
- Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on social security;
- Protocol on cooperation between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of press and information.
In addition, the head of Kyrgyzstan will meet with his compatriots living in Turkey.
Upon completion of his official visit to the country, the President will travel to Brussels, Belgium, to meet with the leaders of the European Union: President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Parliament Antonio Thayani and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
