Jeenbekov leaves for working visit to St. Petersburg

Bishkek, Dec. 6, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov left for a working visit to St. Petersburg this morning to attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The meeting of the heads of the EAEU member states will be chaired by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The leaders will discuss the current issues of the organization and summarize the work for 2018.

In addition, areas for further deepening Eurasian integration in areas such as mutual trade, energy, digital economy will be identified at the meeting.

The agenda will also include issues of the Union’s international work, including competition in cross-border markets.

After the official part, an informal meeting of the presidents is expected.

On December 7, the Kyrgyz President will make a working trip to Moscow, where he will take part in the opening ceremony of the monument to writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.

The Kyrgyz delegation includes

- Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Daniyar Sydykov;

- Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov;

- First Deputy Head of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Almaz Kenenbayev;

- Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov;

- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov;

- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Bolot Otunbayev;

- Special Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for Affairs in the EAEU Almaz Sazbakov.
