Jeenbekov: My main task is to hold high-level parliamentary elections

Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2018. /Kabar/. “My main task is to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections at a high level,” Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov told at his press conference.

The country leader noted that the focus will be on creating equal conditions for all parties that will participate in elections.

“It is necessary for the best to become deputies. We are currently working on the Election Code. We are making changes to it. They will make it possible to hold elections transparently,” he said.

The Kyrgyz president said that in turn, the parties themselves must also be cleared.

“They must also introduce the principles of democracy into their ranks,” he added.

The parliamentary elections are to be held in 2020.
