Bishkek, March 11, 2019. / Kabar /. The XI Congress of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has started today at Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.
Opening the discussion, with opening remarks the head of state highlighted the importance of this event.
“Our personal experience has shown that without an independent judicial system, it is impossible to build a developed state. Only a fair and transparent work of the judicial system will help establish justice in the country and strengthen people's confidence in the government. The attitude of our citizens, foreign partners, investors to the authorities, first of all, depends on judges and law enforcement agencies,” Jeenbekov said.
In addition, the head of state stressed that the implementation of serious reforms in the country rests on ensuring the fair work of the judicial system, and there are cases when a number of good decisions were suspended due to the injustice of judges.
“Of course, the public demands and will demand to change this situation. In this regard, we will resolutely carry out judicial and legal reform,” said the President.
He also added that the process of transition of the country to a new legal space is accompanied by separate obstacles, which at today’s meeting of judges of all instances should be solved.
