Bishkek, May 19, 2020 / Kabar/. “The adoption of joint measures to maintain macroeconomic stability and create an equal conditions for business is fundamental to the success of the EAEU economy,” said President Sooronbay Jeenbekov todayat a regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC).
President Jeenbekov noted that harmonious development and rapprochement of economies should be of great importance in a single economic union, the President’s press service reported.
In this regard, he suggested to intensify work on the adoption of joint measures to support the economies and business of the EAEU member states, taking into account the post-crisis development.
Also an important issue in this difficult time, Jeenbekov called the support of citizens in other countries of the Union.
“In today's situation, it is important to maintain favorable transit opportunities for the return of citizens to their homeland,” the president emphasized.
The session of the SEEC was held today, May 19, in the mode of videoconference. SEEC members are the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
The President of Moldova also attended the meeting as the head of the observer country.
