Jeenbekov: Protection of the Fatherland is the sacred duty of every citizen of the country

Bishkek, Feb. 23, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated compatriots on the Defender of the Fatherland Day.

According to the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, the congratulation of the head of state is as follows:

“Dear compatriots!

I congratulate you on the Defender of the Fatherland Day!

Defense of the Fatherland is the honorable mission and sacred duty of every citizen of the country.

This holiday, surrounded with courage and valor of our ancestors, unites all generations of citizens of our country. We are proud of the heroic pages of national history, sacredly commemorating the immortal feats of our fathers and grandfathers. Honoring veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, participants in local military actions. We pay tribute to the strong spirit of the people who have dedicated their lives to serving the Fatherland. We place great hopes on our younger generation — the future defenders of the Fatherland.

Military service has always been a pillar of statehood and the continuation of the traditions of our ancestors. It is gratifying that every year service in the army of independent Kyrgyzstan becomes honorable for young people.

Our solidarity, unity and readiness to give our lives for the Fatherland, the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan gives us confidence that peaceful work and security of our country and its citizens will be ensured.
