Jeenbekov, Putin discuss bilateral cooperation via phone

Bishkek, June 26, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held Friday phone talk with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

During the conversation, the sides discussed cooperation issues that are of interest to both sides, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.

Putin thanked Jeenbekov for his visit to Moscow and expressed regret over non-participation in the military parade.

The Russian leader also expressed his gratitude to servicemen from Kyrgyzstan for their worthy representation of the country in the ranks of the Victory Parade participants.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed gratitude for the invitation to take part in the festive events marking the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in Moscow.

He noted that the decision on non-participation in the military parade was primarily due to the care for the health of veterans and heads of foreign delegations.

The two heads of state agreed to maintain high level of strategic partnership.
