Bishkek, Mar. 14, 2019. /Kabar/. A telephone conversation was held between head of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Thursday, March 14.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the current situation at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.
Jeenbekov and Rahmon noted the need to create a joint commission to objectively investigate and prevent similar situations in the future, as well as to intensify negotiations on the completion of the process of delimitation of the state border.
The Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were unanimous in their opinion that the peoples of the two countries, having age-old good-neighborly relations, should live only in peace and friendship.
