Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received credentials from Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Valery Zhovtenko, Republic of India Aloka Amitabh Dimri, Republic of Cuba Emilio Pevida Pupo, Slovakia Milan Kollar and Republic of Lebanon Zhiskar El Khoury.
The Head of State congratulated the Ambassadors on the start of their diplomatic activities in Kyrgyzstan, expressing confidence that they will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation between the countries, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Speaking with each of the ambassadors on a wide range of issues relating to bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the framework of international organizations, Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in deepening and developing bilateral relations in the fields of agriculture transport and air communications, tourism, light industry, education, medicine, science and technology, digitalization of the country. The head of state also recalled the possibility of deepening cooperation within the framework of the EAEU and the status of Kyrgyzstan GSP+.
“We are confident that cooperation in these areas will give new impetus to our bilateral relations of mutually beneficial cooperation and friendship,” the President said and wished the Ambassadors success in their diplomatic mission for the benefit of the countries.
Indian Ambassador Aloka Amitabh Dimri discussed the upcoming visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kyrgyzstan.
Ambassadors of Ukraine, India, Cuba, Slovakia and Lebanon have assured Jeenbekov that they will make every effort to bring countries closer together and develop bilateral relations across all the spectrum of cooperation.
